Chairman's Note for Season-2
Season's Greetings! As president of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and the chairman of the Governing Council of Premier Badminton League (PBL), I am very pleased to announce the season 2 ! TODAY Badminton is one of the most talked about sports in the country and I can promise that the season 2 will be much bigger, more exciting and more entertaining ! It gives me lot of pride to say that PBL is already the world's richest tournament in terms of prize money, players salary and quality of participation ! This year we have 8 Olympic medallists with 17 Olympic medals between them participating in the league!
I believe that the PBL is a platform where the world’s best come together alongside our Indian players to compete and display the sport. This will help our own players improve and become even more awesome. It is only a matter of time before we churn out many more world and Olympic champions ! We at BAI will do everything in our power to make this dream come true.I urge all badminton fans across the country to come together and participate in this festival of sport and make it a grand success!
